It may depend on the version of Adobe you're using. Or, it could be as simple as clicking the printer icon on the document rather than the Internet Explorer or Microsoft Word File>Print>Okay method, which won't work. If you don't see the printer icon at the top of the article, try moving your mouse around toward the center of the bottom of the page, it's sometimes in a hidden/invisible toolbar.
While your mouse cursor is on a page of the document, you can also try clicking the mouse button on the right side ("right-click"). The menu that appears may also have a "print" option, which will work for PDF files.
