Professional librarians are available to all full-time faculty and adjunct instructors of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College.  Library instructions can be general overviews of the library's website, resources, and services or they can be tailored to meet a specific assignment, explore an individual database, construct a bibliography, or evaluate web sites.

To schedule an instruction, please complete the Library Instruction Request Form located here.  Requests will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, with every attempt made to fulfill each instructor's preferred date/time/location.

Please review both the Main Library Instructional Calendar and the On/Off Campus Library Instructional Calendar to check for date/time/location availability.  We have a team of four professional instruction librarians, one of whom may have already an instruction scheduled for a particular location.

If you have specific questions concerning Library Instruction, please feel free to contact Charley Hively, Coordinator of Reference and Instructional Services by email charley.hively@fairmontstate.edu, by phone at 304-367-4617, or by contacting the Main Reference Desk at 304-367-4121.
