The professional librarians available to all full-time faculty and adjunct instructors of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College, whether on the main campus, the Caperton Center, or satellite course location.  Library instructions can be general overviews of the Library's website, resources and services or tailored to meet a specific assignment, explore an individual database, or construction a bibliography.

To schedule an instruction, please complete the Library Instruction Request Form located here.  Requests will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, with every attempt made to fulfill each instructor's preferred date/time/location.

Please review both the Main Library Instructional Calendar and the On/Off Campus Library Instructional Calendar to check for date/time/location availability.  We have a team of three professional instruction librarians, one of whom may have already an instruction scheduled for a particular location.

If you have specific questions concerning Library Instruction, please feel free to contact Charley Hively, Coordinator of Reference and Instructional Services by email, by phone at 304-367-4617, or by contacting the Main Reference Desk at 304-367-4121.
